I have worked at 3 different Wal-Marts....In 3 states while growing up. Don't wear jeans, and just be respectful. Its not that hard to get a job there if they called you for the interview.

I've worked at walmart and I've seen people get hired while looking grundgy and also like they hadn't bathed in a while. So..yeah. But you wanna increase your changes so wear something like kaki pants or black pants (and if all you have are jeans, at least wear dark denim ones) and a nice clean casual shirt, like a polo, plus shoes that aren't full of holes or something and you're good to go.

wear something somewhat decent. collared shirt.. maybe slacks or black pants. I got hired after a collared shirt and black pants that i've had for a long time.. and they lost me.. i think a sweater would be nice also, just showing some class.

I would dress business casual. I nice sweater is fine, but pair it with black slacks. Fix your hair and makeup nicely, but conservatively.
I certainly would not wear jeans or sneakers.

oh you should wear a black or gray sweater depending on the slacks your going to wear.
But a black open sweater would go well.

I disagree....no matter what kind of place you are applying to, you should always dress as nicely as possible. They could be sizing you up for a management position eventually and they will want to know that you can put yourself forward professionally.
