Do popes always have to pray and do pope stuff, or is there a time when they can put on a t-shirt and watch football?

My impression is that being Pope takes up most of one's time, but I would guess that even Popes get a little relaxation time too.

The Pope probably prays the Daily Office and does other spiritual work, along with his duties as head of the Catholic Church.

However, he has preached about the importance of relaxation, leisure and vacations. We all need time to recharge.

I can't really picture Pope B16 watching football though.

Yes, Popes get a few days off a year.

For example, during Pope John Paul II's early years, he used to go skiing.
