To be sure truth is elusive. Creationists claim theirs is the truth. Evolutionists claim theirs is the truth. To the undecided I ask this question: Which truth shall set you free?

Truth # 1: Man was created by an intelligent and loving creator. The problem with this truth is that it appears that its only proof is the 10 commandments given to man. If followed—which is not—mankind’s woes would have been over or greatly reduced.

Truth # 2: Man is child to the apes or even worms—or at least share the same ancestor as with them. This truth—as claimed—have scientific proof like the Piltdown man. ( Please don’t google Piltdown man on wikipedia. Its dangerous to your faith. )

So again, which truth is liberating and more comforting: (a) man was created in the image and likeness of a Supreme Creator, or (b) that your ancestor is an ape or a worm?

The piltdown man was a hoax and is recognized as such by the scientific community.

Creationism is not science. Creationism is false and does not abide by the scientific method, yet this is ignored by the creationist community because Creationists have an agenda - scientists do not.

Truth depends on facts to substantiate it's validity. The theory of evolution has mountains of facts in its favor. Creationism, far from providing any facts, actually poses more questions than it seeks to answer. In order for creationism to have any scientific merit, one must first prove such a creator exists. Failing to do this means that any deductions made thereafter will be purely hypothetical.

Truth, my friend, is not necessarily what is most comforting. It would be comforting to believe that when falling off a cliff you have a parachute built into your ears...

First of all, there are not many truths. Every statement, every opinion, every theory, etc. is not truth. #2 above is not a truth.

When you ask "which truth", you must consider the question: "Who was it who said, 'The Truth shall set you free'?" It was Christ. He is the one who also said, "I am the Truth". It is clear, from these two statements, what Christ is saying: that He alone can set man free. Free from what? Free from the slavery to our passions, to sin, and to all that separates us from God.

Therefore, "The Truth shall set man free" means this: That Christ is the One who sets mankind free. There is no true freedom outside of Him. I realize that atheists and non-Christians would disagree with them. And I respect their beliefs. But that does not mean that we should deny that very fundamental truth: That Christ alone sets man free. The difference is that some in this world recognize, acknowledge and thank God for it; whereas others seek their freedom elsewhere. The latter seek freedom, and that is a noble quest. But unfortunately, they seek it outside of the only One who can grant it: Jesus Christ.

The truth you are seeking cannot be found in any place other than in His complete atonement of the water (baptism) and His blood on the Cross (Crucifixion) (John 3:5).
Once you meet this gospel which He gave then you will meet the truth and this truth will set you free. Read everyone answers and go to any Church, you will still not be set free, because they have as yet not met the truth of the water and the Spirit. All you have to do is accept our Free Christian Books and believe in the true message their in.......waiting for your request...and when I receive it you will receive it in the post.

The image and likeness of God has nothing to do with you physical body. There is no conflict between creation and evolution. It is only a lack of knowledge that produces conflicts.

It is clear that there are natural laws that govern all things and the physical development of man has followed natural physical laws. The creator to the natural laws is God. God does not act against him self.

The nature of man’s likeness to God comes directly from God. Among the likeness to God is freewill and intelligence. All things are created by intelligence and follow the intent of freewill. The natural laws are the intent of God and only another intelligence of freewill can act against the design of God. This is the difference between man and all other animals.

Acting against God’s intended natural law has negative results in a universe govern by those natural laws. This includes physical and moral laws. If you violate the law of gravity it hurts so also if you violate the moral natural law it will hurt.

#1 You are mistaken. the ten commandments were not given to mankind. They were given to Israel as a covenant between them and God. The purpose of the commandments was to prove they did not have the heart to follow God -- to have faith in Him. Keeping them does not prove a person to be good. You can refrain from murder and still hate someone. The problem with mankind, as identified in Scripture, is the "heart" and that it is God who puts a new "heart of flesh" in a person, replacing the heart of stone.

The truth isn't always comforting mate. If you choose to believe that we're descended from a divinely created couple then that's your perogative, but it doesn't mean that it's true.

And please, Piltdown man? How many times do you guys need to bring up hoaxes that are completely irrelevant to the situation? How many times have creationists lied in attempt to make their beliefs stand ahead of others and even science? How much evidence has creationism given to aid it's cause compared to the scientific explanation?

Truth #2.
You give birth to young and feed them the same as mammals.
You share 98% or more (not sure) dna with primates.
You eat and poop like an animal.
I find this liberating and comforting thanks.
