The new body is the old one made perfect with every hair restored and every wrinkle straight. Christ did get a new body. It was made perfect. However in his case The marks on his hands will likely be there forever as a testament as to who he is. If you remember, Mary did not recognize him at first when he appeared to her. He was different enough. The three walking to Annias or whereever (without looking it up) also didn't recognize him until after he disappeared. Then they finally realized who it was and were shocked.

Jesus, after His resurrection, told them to touch Him and to watch Him eat, demonstrating that He was not merely a spirit (Luke 24:37-43). Rather, I believe that a natural body is that which is fitted for this present life in our present physical universe, whereas the spiritual body we will possess will be that which will best suit us for the eternal existence we were destined for in Christ in our eternal abode. Jesus’ resurrected body was capable of entering locked rooms at will (John 20:19). Our earthly body limits us in ways (and/or dimensions) that our spiritual body will not.

It was the same body but after he ascended to Heaven,,on his second appearance,,,he had a glorified body...
When Mary first saw him, when he arose,,,he asked her not to touch him because he had not yet ascended to the Father....when he came back and appeared to the apostles,,he had a glorified body...that apparently could just appear in a room at will....we will not understand it all while we are here,,but one day we will understand it all..interesting question though..
I am always amazed at what the younger ones on here,,come up with... : )

IT WAS GLORIFIED
as it was before HE was Born
He even walked and talked with Abraham on the plains of Mamre..and eat with him.....He had His body even then !!
Remember HE became Flesh(mortality) just like us , so he could suffer and the Body Die..just like us...to ATONE for us...HE had to be likened to us........
His torn , beaten body was glorified
Just like a believers will be on resurrection day
and it will be glorified......(inmortal)
In a moment in the twinkling of an eye
Changed...mortality will put on inmortality
Glorified bodies...........

A big mistake a lot of people make when it comes to religion and the bible is that they take it too literally.
Believe in God, know that Jesus died for your sins, live a good life and you will be ok.
Other than that, what do you want, next weeks winning lottery numbers?

traditonal Cathlic and Orthodox teachings talk about bodilyresurection this is the reason there were some folks who made a big issue of the incorputibles and have a staunch opisiton to cremation.
