Bear arms...
Arm bears, and they'd pick it up - decide it isn't edible - and end of story.
Much more ludicrous to give loony humans the right to bear arms!... (scary)

arming bears I used to live in Alaska and I can tell you bears are mean and if ya have 9 MM pistol or smaller file off the sight so it will hurt less when the bear shoves it where the sun don't shine. a bear shooting would be mega scary after they raid your garbage can they'd shoot out your tires and shoot you just to be jerks. So if ya armed bears you'd then have to make miniguns legal in bear country. Steven Colbert is smart to list bears as the number one threat.

As an atheist and a persecuted minority in teh US I for one am awfully glad that I have the right to bear arms. If I didi't I would anyway, and If they ever try to take the right, then you will REALLY need guns...

I think that the right to bare arms is important. I want to be wearing short sleeves if I have to run away from bears with weaponry.
