i would like to lose weight as a new years resolution for myself, and i want one effective excersise.

There are two exorcises that are incredibly effective and the most effective is swimming! That exorcises the whole of the body! The next is walking. Those two are the cheapest and most effective means of losing weight by exorcise.
Nothing else works as well and I don't care what anyone says, they are the most effective.

I've been jogging 2 miles a day (one at night, one in the morning) for only 3 days. But, I can already notice a small difference.
Just cut down on portions, buy a treadmill and RUN! Haha. :)

Also, do sit-ups. I do 20 after I run a mile.

Walking. It's in expensive except for a good pair of walking shoes. Use them ONLY when exercising and buy new ones after every 600 miles. Keep a log.

Walking is probably your best bet. Running can help, but since your pace is always changing it isn't as efficient. As for walking, you're usually at the same steady pace for any length of time. I guess it all depends on how much weight you want to cut off.

The elliptical machines- or anything that burns calories! I.E. Cardio, Cardio, and more Cardio!!!!
Diet also helps out alot to loose the weight you want to loose!
I just go to the gym 3-4 days a week and diet also, and I just lost 20 lbs.! So, if I can do it, anybody can!!!

Jump roping and running up and down stairs! They really help if your consistent and do them enough. Running is also fantastic. I find what helps me the most though is finding a sport I enjoy, then weight loss isn't such a pain.

depends on where on your body you want to lose weight...however

its not just exercise, its diet, enough sleep and eating 5 or 6 times a day with small portions

i suggest you use a treadmill or go running which is great cardio and then just use bedroom exercises to tone up...like sit ups, press ups,

do 300 crunches every night, and 100 every morning! do 100 reg crunches, then 50 crockroach style, put your knees to the side of you ( left and right ) and do 25 each, that gets rid of the love handles!! then for the other 100, put your knees up to your forehead, or close to it ,and do 100 more!! it works i lost 15 in 2 weeks!!! my abs are frkin awesome!!!

WALKING - do it quickly, drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet. weight loss is more about a lifestyle change. visit your doctor for blood tests to rule out any medical problems.

Swimming is the best exercise of all, but if you don't have access to a pool, then I would suggest walking.
