No, it's not reasonable. Ever.
However, judging from that girl/woman's writing skills, I'd say she didn't mean to imply that she's an atheist herself, but that she rather tried to address atheists in a ''fellow human being'' way. Just my observation - or maybe I'm too soft and I give people too much credit?!

A great way to try and get people to believe what you have to say is by saying, "I tell you the truth...", before you tell them the lie. At least it works for some people.
