Do you feel undergunned with a model 19 ? Not sure why but I guess it's a personal thing. Get a model 22 in .40S&W or go to a .45. Of course Glock makes a 10mm if you really want some thump. After that get a .44 mag, of course you will list to one side when you walk cause their heavy....

I like my Springfield Armory XD .45. I personally do not like .40 caliber but the XD does come in that as well. You may like them. I prefer the XD over Glocks for the safety features, feel and fit in my hand, and they are just as reliable.

Both my XDs were about 580 give or take a little after taxes. It will most likely be less if you live anywhere else but IL.

Good Luck

If you like the feel of the GLOCK then you may just want to find another model in a larger caliber.

You may also want to look at the Springfield XD, similar to GLOCK but it feels much better in the hand, at least for me. it also has the benefit of a grip safety.

ok, you do could desire to circulate to a gun shop and seek for those weapons: Steyr M40-A1 - .40 cal, comes with 2 12 shot mags, properly balanced gun, acceptable length for hid carry, greater acceptable attitude than the Glocks. And an exceedingly straightforward shrink back using diminished slide. could be chanced on for around $450 (And my favourite out of the 9 hanguns I presently very own) Taurus 24/7 professional - 9mm, comes with 2 17 shot mags, Heine adjustable attractions, rubberized grips, great stability, and Taurus' Lifetime "no rely what" guarantee. could be chanced on for form of $4 hundred the two a form of comprise great hide weapons, yet could make great huge-unfold carry weapons to boot. With the regulation enforcement taking over each and every of the polymer weapons on the instant, i'm no longer particularly confident why they havent picked up on the Steyr yet. that's the main precise semi automobile I certainly have ever shot. the two are additionally "compact" weapons and are lots much less complicated to regulate and persistently hearth than countless the sub compact fashions pronounced in right here previously. maximum severe, they the two have small soft grips that are manipulated very genuinely!

Your two (2)* best choices would be a 357 Magnum or 45 acp.* Either a Smith & Wesson or Colt Combat Commander.* The great advantage of the 357 Magnum besides being a proven man stopper is you can also shoot 38 caliber ammo in it also.* You get two (2)* handguns for the price of one.* The Colt Combat Commander in 45 acp is well balanced & more than lethal.* Buy used and save $$$.* A new handgun doesn't shoot any better than a good used one.*

Well i would check and make sure that you get one that you can shoot well as your life and others may depend on it some day. As for me i like the H&K USP .40, it is a good platform and i shoot it well, and they make real nice level 2 or 3 duty holsters for it, i like the xd 40 too but there are not as many good holsters for it. As for the glock they are ok but do not fit me well. good luck, stay safe and watch your 6.

I'd get rid of that Glock and get me a Springfield XD 45 Tactical if I were you. That pistol is just bad *** incarnate!

smith and wesson has a great lineup of sidearms. I personally do not like the glock pistols, I have seen too many jams.Go with what has been proven, Colt or S & W.

The Glock in my opinion is as good as they come.Shot placement is what is going to save your bacon, not bigger diameter bullets
