probably don't want your worship...
(though for some of you in my tribe, they do)

You know, like, My gods are great for me, and yours are great for you... and if you have no gods, that's cool too.

That is probably one of the most sensible and accurate statements I have seen on here in a long LONG time.

Well, since all of the gods are the same gods, just with different names, it makes perfect sense.

We are all different and while one group worships within one pantheon, another worships a different pantheon, based on their beliefs, the Gods all know this and deal with it with grace and aplomb.

Now, if we could only get the right wing Christians to accept that, the world would be a much better place.

There is the one Creator God of all things, there are the many aspects in which we as humans view him, There are the thousands of ways in which we worship or revere those aspects. Just my view. One thing though, why when fundamentalist Christians wish to convert the Pagans, Heathens, Atheists, and agnostics, do they forget that most all were raised in the Christian traditions, but turned away for whatever reason to a tradition or religion that their heart led them to.

It is more than fair. just like this whole "happy holidays" thing i say merry christmas i dont know how that can offend any one!! last week or so some one told me "happy hanauka" i just said it back! I fully agree that you can worship your gods and respect the other ones.

Fair is fair.

I like my deities and they seem to like me (at least when Odin isn't deciding to test me - LOL).

I just wish that everyone wouldn't push their beliefs on others. If asked, share, answer questions but don't push or say that their beliefs are the only correct ones.

As a Pagan and a polytheist, this is exactly my attitude. There are many, many Gods. I have mine, you have yours. As long as we can support each other's right to worship whatever God speaks to our hearts, our Freedom of Religion will be preserved. It's when some people insist that their God is the only one deserving of worship that they oppress the freedom of others. In my opinion, this Live and Let Live attitude is vital to maintaining peace and freedom.

That is more than fair. Let's accept the differences and treat each other with respect.

Gods are a primitive notion. The dictionary definition of a monotheistic God is the only truth, regardless of what name is given to Him.

Yeah, but only if your belief stays in your head and out of government.
