so, this guy cody liked me and i had a crush on him and we started talking. about a month after we had started talking he asked me out. i told him i had to think about it because i had just gotten out of a relationship. i never got back to him.
that was months ago ... infact i think it was last year......anyways the point is i skrewed it up and i just started talking to him recently and i want to be with him... how should i tell him?

Ask him if the offer still stands (use those words) and then go from there but this time when he asks you give him an answer

If he is a Jock:
remain a challenge but allow him slow progress no matter what he does.
If he is shy:
restate the reasons you told him before that you had to think about it and subtly explain why things are different now. Do not be to much of a challenge but don't make it seem like your pursuing him.
if he popular:
pick a time when his ego has been hurt and offer him a non sex way to distract him from it.

Why didn't you get back to him? If it was because you were busy, then tell that to him. You definitely have a chance, but I think that you have to rebuild what you two had back then. He did ask you after all, so I think that unless he has a girlfriend now, he might still like you. Of course he's going to be more critical about asking, because he knows now that you did not give an answer.

Ask him if he still feels the same way. I'm not a guy but I would have taken your unresponsiveness as a "no". So I wouldn't be interested in you anymore. But...he may be stupid and still is interested in you. Some guys will wait.Go for it.

Stop being shy, and out of most of these questions, if you just communicate your feelings to the other person, it gets the job done quicker.
