Just let them pay. It is impolite to argue with them.

You LET them pay. YOU offer to pay and say my mom and dad gave me money. BUT if they say no... you smile and say thank you very much. I really appreciate this. How nice of you.... or something like that.
Now, you can save all the money and perhaps next time you can treat.... or you can insist... " on no, this time I really must pay for my own dinner because you paid for me last time. It wouldn't be fair." But again, if they insist, just say thank you. Accept it politely. And sometimes, even a phone call or an email the next day to say thanks again is really appreciated by people. Of my daughter's friends, I like the ones who send me a note and say thanks mom for treating me ( even though I am NOT their mom LOL )

Tell them you greatly appreciate their offer, but you prefer to pay for yourself. If they protest, just let them. They are obviously doing it out of love, not obligation. And if thats the case, allow it.

Thank them politely, and accept their gift gratefully. Perhaps, from time to time, you can try to "treat them" by inviting them to do things with you or, if they still insist on paying at those times, by purchasing a small gift that the families can enjoy.

I usually offer and when they refuse to let me pay, I let them pay. Simple.
