as soon as i turn 18 iam planning on moving to canada for almost 5 m.. im a US citizen but not a canadian citizen. will i need any special permission to do this?

For a 5 month visit you won't need a visa, but if you want to work here you need to visit the immigration site.

You will need a passport and if you plan on working you need a working visa for a minimum of six months.Contact canada.gov.ca

Upon reaching the age of majority, you can cross the border if you want. Just bring the passport with you.

i for one will welcome you ,good choice I've been here my whole life its a great country.you could try servicecanada.ca it may give you the info you need to come to Canada
