Rev. 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

It is saying that there is a group of true Christians whom will persevere through to the end of time. Besides this perseverance, there are two other characteristics of these true Christians. They will also be true to all of God's Law and to the Faith of Jesus.

        There is a similar verse:

Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

What is this Faith, or Testimony, of Jesus? Revelation 1:1,2 is an example; but, here is Heavenly confirmation:

Rev. 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Thus, this end-time group of true Christians will also have access to the Spirit of Prophecy -- i.e., prophetic testimony from Jesus which is more recent than what is contained in the Bible. But you can't have one without the other. There must be complete faithfulness to all of God's Law and have fresh prophetic testimony from Jesus.

God bless.

Rev. 14:12 talks about two things; 10 commandments, and the faith of Jesus. I know the 10 commandments written in Bible, but what is the Faith of Jesus. Don't beat around bush. Just a straight answer is needed.

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

That is pretty plain. Pretty blunt. The Elect or the end-time Church of God will be comprised of those obeying God's Commandments and having faith in the sacrifice of Messiah Yeshua covering the times they fall short and in His return.

The world's religions teach erroneously that because there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation there is no obligations or duty to God for us to perform. This verse and many others give the lie to that.

Genesis 4:7 If you do well, will you not have honour? and if you do wrong, sin is waiting at the door, desiring to have you, but do not let it be your master.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid! How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?....12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.(KJV)

This scripture talks about endurance on the part of the preachers of the good news in these days of the activity of the symbolic wild beast and its image. This is what Revelation 13:10 and 14:12 foretold would be required of true Christians at this stage of world politics. To show faith and to endure till final victory it calls for them to have a spirit different from the “spirit of the world.” Like a sea of atmosphere the worldly spirit envelops “the great city,” Babylon the Great, and all the “cities of the nations” and the symbolic “mountains” and islands. Because of the “god of this system of things” they are all immersed in this spirit and breathe it in like air. As pictured in the pouring out of the seventh and last plague, the anger of Jehovah God is against that spirit or “air” by which Babylon the Great and the cities of the nations live. This plague leads to disaster upon them all. Certainly we want to avoid God’s plague on that “air.

Rev. 14: 9-13 are below from the New International Version ~ Red Letter Edition;
************************************************************9. A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the head or on the hand,
10. He, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of His wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.
11. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
12. This calls for patient endurance on the part on the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
13. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on" (1 Cor. 15:18; 1 Thess. 4: 16). "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them" (Rev. 2:7).
************************************************************
I hope that this will help you somewhat, my Christian friend! I am certainly no Bible scholar, but I have been a Christian for a very long time and I am an everyday reader/studier of God's Word, so if I get this wrong please just pray for me and do not judge, for the Word says "judge not, lest ye be judged by your Father who is in Heaven!"

In the latter days (now) the saints are the the people who believe in and are members of the (Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.) Other than that the verse has meaning for all ages and times to those who read it. The only true prophetic meaning of the verse is his knowledge there would be saints who believe in this time in history.

We the believers in Jesus Christ believe that evil will be destroyed as well as death, hell and the grave. We believe that all the evil that is committed against us will be judged. This is the patience of the saints. The end will be in our favor and there will be peace forever. We wait confidently for Him.

Revelation is about the oppression of the Christians by the Romans; it is not a prophecy of modern times.
