She should not kill the baby under any circumstances. A doctor is obliged to treat BOTH patients as equal importance. If she needs a treatment, she should be treated, and place the baby's fate in God's hands, not the doctor's. If the baby is to survive, he/she will. But if you don't give the baby this chance, he/she will die 100%.

. It is nice that you are concerned but it would be best for the women to check other Dr.s and alternative med. I was told over 20 yrs. ago actually my husband was as i was in a coma that unless they aborted the baby I would die he searched out other Dr's and op ions and found a Dr who was not afraid to use the gift God gave him, many Dr.s are worried about law suits these days not patients. Check all available resources I have also seen women myself forgo certain treatment until the baby has a better chance at life outside the womb. If the baby dies in the course of treatment's it is not the mothers fault.

To let your self die to protect a pregnancy is not right. This is a matter between the Doctor, Mother and Father of the baby they need to ask the Lord in prayer what is the right way to go and let the Holy Ghost dictate the right action. If the baby dies due to needed med's for the protection of the mother then it is not murder or anything like it.

Luvdalz, thats selfish, hypocricial, shorsighted and foolish.

its entirely possible that a medication that would not be remotely harmful for an adult, that would severely harm a developing fetus. if you treat the mother as neccesary without consideration of risk for the fetus, then you are clearly not treating both patients with equal importance.
one could say that if you can't treat the mother without risking the baby then you can't treat her, and that you put HER life in god's hands. but you seem to see this as the worse option. which I agree with!
your view is clearly inconsistent.

if there is a situation where to save the mother the pregnancy must be stopped, then it should be. not to is arrogant, selfish and egotistical.

What?

Where is this hospital where the woman is being treated--some third world country?

Everything possible should be done to save both the mother and the baby. If absolutely necessary, the baby will be aborted and the mother's life will be saved. Otherwise they might both die.

Having an abortion which you are undoubtedly talking about at this stage of the game is totally not cool. And I am NOT some psycho pro-lifer. It's common to be sick during the first few months of the pregnancy. I was a mess throughout mine and wanted to take a wire hanger to take it out! In the end all was well thanks to a pretty decent doctor. As another posted I find it strange there is no way to treat whatever your friend has. I had to wait to receive emergency treatment until I went into labor. I think she's full of crap. If she wants to have a miscarriage tell her to throw herself down a staircase.

Look. If the unborn child is putting the mother in danger of losing her life, then it is not a sin to extract the child.

If the mother dies, with the baby only in the first trimester, it is obvious that he will die along with the mother.

I think this is truly a matter of personal opinion. I would just live with it. When you get pregnant you know the risk you are taking. I couldn't kill the baby. I wouldn't be able to live with myself. My advice is to only do this if it is a life or death situation.

this is the problem with trying to put conservative beliefs into scientific/biological topics.
there are (believe it or not) legitimate reasons to have an abortion.
without it your friend will die or give birth to a severely messed up child

do you really have to ask if its a sin to put a woman's life in front of the POSSIBILITY of a future for a freakin fetus!!????
