To Truth, it's really good to know that you have ben reading about Jesus, and yes some religions do teach of a scarey hell at death, but I think you'll feel better about religion if you learned that the bible Doesn't say you will burn in hell. For centuries the dogma of hellfire has been drummed into the impressionable minds of youngsters and thundered from pulpits. What effect has this concept had on people’s hearts? Has it caused them to be kinder, more loving and compassionate in their dealings with others? The doctrine of eternal torment has turned many churchgoers into atheists. But is this really a teaching supported by the Bible?Of course,The Bible does speak of people being thrown into a fire. But symbolisms are frequent in the Bible.
The dogma of eternal torment is based on the immortal-soul theory, the Bible clearly states: the soul that is sinning it itself will die Ezekiel 18:4.Lovingly, God has made provision to save men, not from torment, but from being destroyed.
John 3:16.

Because if we claim to love Jesus, then we listen to his voice.
We do ALL of the things that he has commanded us to do.
We take in knowlege of his father JEHOVAH. John 17:3
We acknowlege that Jesus is God's son Colossians 1:15-17
We accept the ransom sacrifice of Jesus for our salvation 1John 4:9
We preach the "good news" of God's Kingdom worldwide. Matt 24:14 Matt 28:19-20

Bascially, how we respond to Jesus has an impact on our everlasting life.

I have plenty to do in my life and if I can confuse a few unlucky-enough persons to live religions, then I have done them a great good. It matters, because he was not a real person and the story about Jesus is the most damaging written document ever placed in the public domain. You need to ask what would the world be like today if that fictional story had never been written. For one things the believers would have/would be free and not in slavery to religion because they are frightened that Jesus and his papa might slap them silly. The world would know the truth, and chances are that Islam would never have been thought of without that fictional NT story. The idea of free living is to know the truth, and you have to understand, that when religions start telling the truth that is when religion will start to fall down. So many ,millions of people live in lies and untruths and they are frightened that god or Jesus will send them to that imaginary hell, which also is fiction. Life is what you get while you are living now, and after you die, that is all there is.

I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and therefore it is very important what I believe about Jesus. Jesus, the Son of God, said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." It doesn't get any more important than that. And the Great Commission to all Christians is to "go into all the world and preach the gospel". I believe my task in life is to live in such a way that people will see Christ through me, by the way I talk and behave. I can't afford to change my beliefs to please those who don't know the Lord.

Why would educating people about reality be considered "just to have something to do with your life", especially as believers have a large impact on American society. While you may consider your beliefs to impact only yourself, you need to look around at society and gauge it's impacts on those that do not.

As for your question, it does not matter what you believe as there is no reason to assume the divinity of a person that may have existed. While beliefs do not change the facts, they definitely affect how the believer behaves and that is the important part.

I think that was the "main reason" a bible inspired by God was instituted to mankind.

In the event you do not place value on these precious writings all of the prophets along with Jesus died in vain.

But it would be nice if people paid attention to the message.

Infinity, you don't get it.
It's the message that matters, not the messenger.
There is no need to make a religion around it.

Not if you don't care about where you will spend eternity.

If you do care, then yes it matters very much so.

As for others who don't care, it will matter on Judgment Day.
I pray that God will be merciful to them and show them the love and grace He has shown me, that I do not deserve and am unworthy of.
