I have heard that guys are supposed to make the first move, and it's bad for you to make the first move/ ask him out first. I've also heard that guys are really shy and like it when a girl makes the first move. Which one is true?

Its a mystery to me. I've picked up ladies and I've also been picked up by ladies before. It really depends upon how comfortable you are with yourself and your level of patience. Honestly I like the variety in it. Its also a good measure of will you seek out the things that you desire. Fun stuff interesting ?

Just go for it, or if its really important to you for the guy to ask first make sure you drop some obvious hints because both things you said are true you need to add oblivious to it.

The guys perfer them ask the girls out. I know form experiance. When I have asked guys they back off. They get scared. They have to approach the girl when they are ready.
The guys are not shy. They just take forever. They are scared of commitment.

well i ask a boy on a date and to go out but he asked me to make out. so i guess the guy wants you to ask him so he can get the OK
