No.
Nobody can buy salvation.
That was a gift, paid for by our saviour Jesus Christ who laid his life down in our behalf.
Christendom has misled many about that particular thing...it's sad indeed!

No, at least not necessarily.
I also don't use the word "atonement", but rather "amends". We make amends to those whom we may have hurt in some way, but not to a god. As an example, if your 2-year old breaks something that is valuable to you, do you condemn the 2-year old? Obviously, you recognize that she doesn't know better.
If a god is so far above us, the concept of an adult and a 2-year old is hardly comparable. As we don't condemn children for saying "I hate you" when they are angry, so would it be inconceivable for a god to condemn a person for saying "I didn't trust a book", even if that book is true. As a parent, we offer children tangible evidence and reasons for things in the world, and they learn. The god of Abraham has not seen fit to offer such tangible evidence.
Atonement to a being that cannot be shown to exist does not seem to make sense. I'll stick to making amends when I've harmed another.

No it is not a means of atoning for sin. Jesus Christ made the only acceptable sacrifice that atones for our sins. Material giving is a way of being a supporting member of God's family here on earth and demonstrating faith and a commitment to his Kingdom work here on earth.

Absolutely not! Jesus Christ is the only one that can atone for a person's sin.

I have never heard of anybody teaching that, and I have been involved in many different kinds of churches. I don't think even those groups that I consider to be sects would teach that.
Some fringe preachers who use religion to get rich, cheating people out of their money to enrich themselves, use other methods, like false promises of prosperity, etc., but I haven't heard of them using the method you mention.

There is only one atonement for sin and that is our Lord Jesus.

We can NEVER atone for our own sins.
We either pay the penalty (eternity in hell), or we accept Christ's atoning death in our place, the voluntary innocent one for, and in place of, the guilty. ("He who knew no sin became sin, so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Him")

Churches, priests and preacher might teach that, for the purpose of collecting more money from the uninformed.
