Doesn't this seem contradictory to a religion that preaches only one God and allegedly despises paganism?

Hi....
It is a bit of a gem, for the Muslims to try to make Humanity believe that Islam has been there forever and that even Judaism is a later form of Islam, but this is simply 'not' correct!
Islam 'is' the youngest of the three main religions and the Arabic peoples 'before' Islam evolved into what is known today...
Were Pagan and the shrine mentioned, certainly 'was' a Pagan shrine before being made Islamic!!!
Al-ah was the chief god, in a Pantheon of Arabic gods, it was only later, after Judaic and Christian influences, that the god Allah was conceived, being a solitary, Omnipotent Arab god!!
Religious deluded belief cannot be allowed to overthrow what we 'know' from True History!!!

whilst human beings converted to Christianity that's strictly what you may anticipate them to do - the two convert the temple to a church or demolish the temple and build a sparkling church. As for people who reckon Christians got here in and massacred the pagans, might desire to they tell me the place a number of those Christians are meant to have come from? Did they appear like by utilizing magic or a miracle? The Christians have been pagans or Jews who had desperate that Christianity exchange into the greater suitable decision and that they succeeded ordinarily by utilizing trouble-free persuasion. Iron: The temple probably belonged, a minimum of in some experience, to the persons. whilst they converted to Christianity, why might desire to they no longer exchange it right into a church? It exchange into of no further use to them as a temple. And, by utilizing the way, your fable with reference to the evolution of Christianity is miles far off from the historic actuality. and you're making claims without back up evidence. Temples have been normally designed in techniques which made them ineffective as a church . people who have been perfect have been adapted, people who weren't have been replaced. at the instant it normally occurs any opposite direction - churches pass out of use and are the two demolished or converted to a various use, often times by utilizing a various faith. it extremely is functional and that i do no longer lose any sleep over it. you haven't any longer proved that they have got been atrocious acts. And whilst and the place did those atrocities take place? interior the main, human beings have been converted to Christianity by utilizing missionaries and then voluntarily replaced from temple to church. The clues is in you very own words: AFTER the christianization.

Muslims are not pagans, they believe in the same God as Jews and Christians.
Muslims pray towards Mecca because it is the Holiest place in the Muslim world, and where Mohammad returned to after his long exile to Medina (the second most holy site).
That piece of Meteorite is an object supposedly given to Mohhammad by the arch-angel, Gabrial.
I suggest that you read more about both Judaism and Islam, then the Christian Bible again and you will find they are similar in many aspects, especially the "Old Testament".

I have never understood this, and have never met a Muslim to ask in person.
I'm curious as to the explanation, thanks for asking
EDIT-to the GENIUS above--I was referencing the METEORITE, you quick to judge.....well, anyways.
FYI, it was NOT built by Abraham. Who has a lack of info NOW?
Did you mother teach you to seek clarification before opening that trap of yours? Guess not!

Why do the Christians have to pray to the God they do? It's just their religion. Don't ever expect any religion to make sense to everyone.

There are allot of religions that believe there are earthly persons or things that you need to talk to God. Does that make it a Idol. I hope that the muslims don't find out and blow it up.

the pagans you speak of are actually pre-islamic arabs. from what i learned, after mohammed received the qu'ran, he went and destroyed the idols (as these pagans kept statues and worshipped their ancestors) and told the followers that they must not worship idols or dead relatives.
perhaps they pray to this because it is one of the first places mohammed really established islam?

I can see no difference in Muslims facing Mecca to pray than it is for Jews to face toward Jerusalem when they pray. They face their holy places.
