i have ocd and i had some unintentional blasphemous thoughts and MAYBE sayings
im wondering if trying to blasphemy out loud, so i won't be obsessing, worrying or guilty about it when i say it in my mind, is considered to be an intentional one
i think i only said f**king or just the part of it because i tried it a few weeks ago to get the truth and when i did it, i didn't say jesus in my mind after the f word, but what if i did it, would it be intentional? i was also getting frustrated saying it in my mind a lot when i don't even want to do it
it comes up in my mind like a reflex like blinking or a fired bullet once i just think about it
i did it a few years ago
i didn't pray though and should i pray or not?
i can blasphemy again, it's like an impulse and im christian and have nothing against him

I don't think you really need to pray about swearing...

you may always pray for forgiveness. No person is perfect, we are all tempted and all weak of flesh and mind. Ask for guidance, and more importantly make a point of trying to modify one, not more, just one, negative behavior today. You may not succeed, but that doesn't mean your effort is in vain. Keep in mind that man is an asocial animal, an ignorant animal, and a sinner. All of these inate shortcomings are overcome by becoming social, learning as much as we can, and learning about God and following His way. The bible has so much to teach every person. Each of us has to work at being a good person, don't let a lapse in your journey discourage you from continuing.

Trying to control your mind is a lot like trying to hold on to a slippery bar of soap! It's just so uncooperative! Thoughts just aren't all that important, ya know? You have billions of thoughts all day long. Some of them follow from the thoughts that came before them, like when you are thinking about some of them. A lot of them are just random thoughts that just sort of spring into your mind without any apparent reason. Don't worry about them. They are neither good nor bad. They are just thoughts. And stop being so hard on yourself!

I do have a book to suggest. It is called "Turning the Mind Into an Ally." Please check the reviews at the link below by those who have read it. I think it will help you.

seem, i'm an atheist, so i will no longer be the suitable person to respond to this question, yet whilst the god you have self belief in is something like honest, it would desire to no longer think approximately some prayers stated (or no longer) interior the minutes in the previous dying to be as important as a results of fact the prevalent of the guy for the time of existence, so i might say that the functionality of final rites, even for believers is to no longer assure a rapid luge-journey to heaven, yet to furnish convenience to those people who're nevertheless right here. I propose, you have self belief that there is somebody working the show, suitable? somebody who makes each thing artwork out interior the top, no longer in basic terms a set of arbitrary regulations - so I doubt lacking one sacrament is going to make a difference to all of us's eternal advantages.

Well, I don't know much about OCD but I do know as a christian, it is easy to obsess about things you say or think that aren't of a christian nature or " Christ like". I do it too. Definately pray! Just have a conversation with God. If you truly are a christian, you will know that God heals all things. He also forgives our sins. You just have to believe it with all your heart. I will pray for you too. God Bless!

Praying is an option that you always have. God does listen.

Are you under treatment for your OCD and on meds? It sounds like you need to share your thoughts with a therapist. Jesus in the healer, but He works through the hands of others.

May you know the loving peace of Christ.

Guilt is a bad thing, if you believe in Jesus and God then talk to him he will help, I have stopped doing something loke my Rosary and so on and I was also feeling guilty, because i try hard to be a good christian, but none of us are perfect and have our up and downs, but if you keep the faith he will help you. Always say "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". and "All is well".
God Bless!

Aww Sweetie.. Take some deep breaths.. Cursing is Not blasphemous in any way.. They are just words.. God does not worry about them. He knows what you mean and he loves us.

Contrary to popular belief, We did not get a packet of *INSTANT HOLY* and a bottle of * INSTANT GOD`S KNOWLEDGE* the second we decided to follow God.

We are not perfect. We will never be perfect. God doesn`t require perfection. He never asked for us to be perfect.

Don`t be so tough on YOU. He isn`t. He loves you and are precious to him. He knows your heart and THAT is the important thing.

Go, be blessed, and be happy.. Don`t worry about the small things. God KNOWS.. I assure you he doesn`t hold things like that against you..

Peace and God bless from Texas <><

yes, pray. this satan attacking your mind, sometimes i go through that with satan, i know he is messing with me, putting these thoughts in my mind that i don't really believe, it drives me crazy until i just rebuke him and remind him that he has no power over me because i'm a child of god. and after i tell him that and i pray for god to keep him away from me, my mind included, i can feel god's presence, i can feel him watching over me, loving me and protecting me from satans vile plans. god bless you and have a happy new year
