You certainly can! If you don't I will. I'm just sick and tired of all the Catholic bashing I see here. Sure, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, etc. get their dose of bashing as well, but to see brothers and sisters in faith attacking their OWN brothers and sisters is beyond my comprehension. Or maybe I feel so strongly about it because I grew up in a neighbourhood with many Catholics in it.

Sorry about the rant, I was going to post a question about this whole Christian vs Catholic nonsense anyway.

Of course Catholics are Christians. Only an ignorant fundy would imagine otherwise. I'll happily drink to that anytime you feel the need!

I can definitely see why this one should be added. Even though I am an atheist, I get disgusted by the ignorance I see in this forum. Of course catholics are Christians.

Yes,let's add it to "Modern Jews are not really Jewish but the English are"(Anglo Israelitism)

If Catholics are not Christians then Protestants aren't either

I'll add it to my Diet Coke list!!

My parents will add it to their beer list!

It drives us all to drinking! Our lists are all very long.

As for history, at my school, Modern World History is no longer required. Global Issues is though. So glad I escaped that class, I've heard it's horrible.

Cheers!

I will be half drunk!! I know some Anglicans like that .I have also been told to go on the 'Alpha course' by one of them (apparently to learn how to be a proper Christian.) I know they are few and far between but I'm puzzled as to why they think us Catholics are not Christians. The term Christians is an early nickname meaning 'Christ ones' i.e. his followers and we believe in Jesus and love and worship him as God's son and part of the Holy Trinity!!

"We believe in the father, the almighty , maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen, We believe in one JESUS CHRIST the only son of God eternally begotten of the Father God from God , Light from Light , TRUE GOD from TRUE GOD...."

Honestly, I have come across a few Catholics that claimed they were not Christian. I just nodded my head and figured that then they really didn't have any personal beliefs.

I think it should be added. I personally never understood why some people say Catholics aren't christians.

Yup. And you can tell them about history all you want, they insist that the protestant Bible sprung full blown after the time of Martin Luther and no facts will change their "minds".

Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity. So is Protestantism. There are many denominations of Christianity.
