Oh Hon, Of course not.. It is important to pray for yourself.. You do understand that praying is not begging.. We talk and we LISTEN.. Just talk to God like you talk to anytone else. I assure you he does understand.
He really didn`t talk like the King James bible... You know the: Thee, thou, shalt. That was translated into the language and slang of the times.. As in king Arthur and medieval knights of the round table stuff. He is fluent in all tongues.. Just say hi Dad how are you? He understands..
Peace and God bless from Texas.<><

No not at all. Remember that the main point of prayer however is to spend time in fellowship with God. But even as we consider the Lord's prayer which He gave in response to the apostles asking Him to teach them to pray; we see He tells us to ask God for our daily bread. It is not wrong to pray for yourself. But do not forget to pray for others. And also not to pray to try and twist God's arm into submitting to our will but pray to find out what His will is for us and surrender to that will.
God bless and pray without ceasing. Ask God to help you in this area as well.

It is ok to pray for yourself if done in a humble manner and for seeking spiritual guidance. We all look for help from God.
It is not ok to pray for material or worldly things.

No, the bible says to bring our needs to God because He cares for us. And there is nothing wrong with praying for "material" things. If you have a broken down car, don't have the money, and need a miracle...of course talk to God about it!

No definetley not;we can appeal to God through Christ our Lord to help us but remember we should ask for help in what we need and not in our wants.
