A virgin is someone that has not had sexual relations.
If someone has had sexual relations - they are no longer a virgin.

Culturally, it is when the hymen breaks, but we now know that it can naturally break off for no apparent reason, but is still a good indicator, but that means you have to go down there and check. Another way could be behavior (if you have sex, notice if they seem sure on what to do. But that could just mean they watch a lot of porn as well)

you can't tell. to the guy who said that about a hymen being intact..that's not true. a virgin is not a person with a hymen. a virgin is a person who has not had sex! you can tear your hymen other ways than having sex.. you can tear it by doing certain sports, or even by putting in a tampon. some girls aren't even born with hymens... I wasn't.
you can't tell if a person is a virgin or not just by looking at them. not possible.

Virginity technically means the hymen is intact. It is generally broken (ripped) during intercourse but also can be broken in other ways. Only a Doctor can really tell.

you wont know.. without asking.. There is now way to just "tell" unless your a dr. and perform an exam.
so why dont you just ask and hope they tell you the truth?

you can just ask or if she is someone close you can talk to ask if her cherry has popped yet.
gotta remember if she has been to one of those (i think gionocoligists) then they have broke the cherry when they gave her a checkup.
