Thats a pretty bogus assumption.

If you get denied ( I dont ) then you obviously have something in your credit history that is hurting you.

You might think you know someone else's credit, and their status, etc, but unless they live with you and you are looking at their credit report, it is a false assumption to believe they have bad credit.

Or do you think the bank is just picking on you?

It just doesnt make sense, right..?

Good Luck

PS. It might be a blessing in disguise that you didnt get a credit card. Read all the questions from people struggling to get out from under a mountain of debt. They started with ONE credit card.

Not all Visa accounts are alike. Not all Capital One Visa accounts are alike. There are all sorts of accounts with different terms.

If you were denied, it means your credit wasn't good enough for that particular card. The folks with bad credit might have a card with terms including high interest rates, low limits, monthly fees, and a deposit as collateral.

Repair your credit!

In order to improve your credit score, you need to both eliminate negative information as well as establish positive credit history.
