Which do you tend to value more a cheap and unthinking gift or a gift of much price and consideration?
I personally feel it God had chosen a simpler less horrifying perhaps way of redeeming us, say poof no problem, we would not value it nor believe in it.
Pax,
Debra

I don't think most of us value it or understand it. So many people tell me that if they screw up, who cares? Jesus died on the cross for our sins so it's ok. It's sad. If I lay down my life for someone, I sure hope they appreciate it and take advantage of it.

You are speaking of the Pauline gospel of sacrifice for sins. The Prodigal Son didn't have a problem going home to his Father. He was welcomed with open arms and a celebration.

Better get back to the Original Kingdom Gospel.

If God had wanted an environment that was free of sin.... it would have been that way. No human could uncreate God's plan unless it was His will.

In other words.......
U would be more like muslims.......
everything we do...WE fear that what happens if ALLAH never appreciated it??will i go to hell??i have to be kind to my parents or else i will end up like the companion of Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) who was not kind to his mother and could neither live nor die..who was crying for help and apologizing to his mother and crying in pain..........

what happens if i fall into the sin like fornication and adultery??
then i will never get the smell of paradise!!

What if i kill someone??
surely i will go to hell as Allah says in Quran:

"...If anyone killed a person not in retaliation for murder or to spread mischief in the land, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind. And (likewise) if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole of mankind"
(Surah Al-Maaida 5:32)

What if i abuse any Christian or Jew??

"Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion, nor drove you out of your homes. Indeed, Allah loves those who deal with equity"
(Surah Al-Mumtahinah 60:8)

in that way i will be unable to deal with then justly and then ..........HELL!!!!!!!!

Sister Debra,
u would be like this if only u would believe that Jesus Christ never died for your sins.......
it is only a matter of choice
as it is in bk.of Ezekiel 18:21
nobody bares for ur sins but u ........
father won't bear the sins of his son...
son won't bear the sins of his father

Jesus died for the sins of church folks, and they can keep getting forgiven every time they commit a sin, and no matter how many times they commit it; and what the hell is your question?

My fear is that there are still millions of people that can not accept that sin separates them from God.
Lying, stealing, murder or rape, it doesn't matter it is sin.
Looking at that woman with lust, holding hatred in your heart, all sin.
May God Bless you and yours in 2008.

I agree with you, Debra. As you said, "greater love hath no one, that he give his life for his friend."

Blessings to you and to all.
