I agree..........age 1 is the hardest.
They are old enough to get into everything, run away, be destructive, make messes..........but WAY too young to listen.
Mine is 21 months and can listen to reason. not much reason, mind you but some. Like if I tell her that hitting hurts, you will fall, that is kucky.........she listens.

All of them LOL! Seriously I think it really depends on the child. I have a 14 year old and she has been the easiest child to parent ever...so far at least I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop as she gets closer to 16! My 8 year old has been a terror since she was born though and every year I think this year has got to be easier...no such luck yet though. 10 was a rough year with my now 11 year old and I'm hoping that was the worst but I'm not holding my breath! My 4 year old and 3 month old have been so laid back so far so we will see what happens with them.
No matter what age/stage is roughest remember this too shall pass :)

I say the teen years. I haven't gotten there yet, My daughter is only three however, Teens tend to rebel and that leads to a ton of tension. I dread the teen years... The "I hate yous" and what not... eeek I'm dreading that. Also the ripe age of 18 and when they move out. Only because they are able from a legal stand point to make all decisions and they are no longer in your constant care... That will be a SAD DAY!!!

TEENAGERS...when your kids are younger you still have control, NOT that you don't w/teenagers but ask anyone w/a teenager today, TIMES HAVE CHANGED. I didn't worry about her as much when she was younger, now she's 16, 5"11 size 1 and drop dead beautiful and I stress out everytime she walks out the door!!!

I think age 12 and 13 are the worse whether you have a boy or a girl. They are hormonal, emotional, prone to immaturity, listless, sarcastic, and sometimes downright nasty.
