after all its a crazy ban thats had no effect and hasn't benefitted anyone not even the fox. All its done is reduced the number of hounds in the hunt and wasted police time .

Why did they bother banning it?? Why did they use emergency parliamentary procedures to force the ban through without a proper vote!! ?

Who cares, I stopped fox hunting when I met my wife. Bagged my lifetime limit right there! :0)

Seriously, I can't give you a qualified answer because I never took part in fox hunting with hounds. We did it the old fashioned way and laid for em at the chicken coop.

I live in the country and have shot 4 foxes this year all had an bad case of mange because there are so many of them eating out of wast bins in city's and then being caught by a well known animal rescue and then released back in to the country by them 12 in one go on a farm near me it was videoed by the farmer who then shot most of them most of the townies do not know what is going on it is a good looking animal but they are riddled with fleas and kill for the sake of it not to eat they will kill 20 chickens and not eat one .Every one has their views this is mine.
To Emma t you can not hunt a fox with a falcon it would take a golden eagle to kill a fox I know I am a falconer

well i must say that a government that allows Muslims to slit an animals throat and let it slowly bleed to death over a 15 minute period in a country that used!! to have laws against animal cruelty, banning fox hunting does seem a little hypocritical. perhaps every hunt should carry a token Muslim. then the government would allow it. just think of it. nowadays in our country, an innocent animal is put through 15 minutes of unutterable torture every half hour 'on average'. and no one is there that has the guts to put a stop to it. including the RSPCA......makes you think doesnt it......who REALY!! owns and runs this country???

The banned it because foxs are suffering unesseserily for theire entertainment.
Though they only banned it so the dogs could not tear the fox apart whilst still alive, they are still aloud to take the hounds, But have to shoot the fox first and make sure it is dead before letting the hounds at it.
I think they havent put enough laws to stop it. They should BAN hunting foxes all together, on horse back, with dogs and falcons or other birds. The only ethnical way to kill the fox would be to shoot it outright through the head. Though I still wouldnt be happy as the poor creatures are still being killed for no reason.
Why kill a fox if there is no need to.

Yes. But it must be regulated properly, there are the few out there that end up ruining it for the many.

i dont agree with fox hunting at all, i belive there is a better way, but what people have to understand is, that if you do nothing, numbers WILL get out of hand. i have seen both sides of hunting on and off horseback and as far as i am awere no fox is 'torn to bits' by the hounds.

It should remain in place.

Lets look at it like this you a person are being chased by a load of people on horseback their soul reason for being there is to run you down and watch while their hounds tear you to pieces, and to congratulate each other on what a wonderful job they did.

No its not good for the foxes do you think they run around like a cartoon character shouting chase me chase me to the pack as they bay for blood. Now tell me hunting is a good idea, oops sorry you obviously think it is otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question. I am not one of the anti hunt protesters I just think its about time this barbaric sport was banned.

The hunts that follow a scent that has been laid have been doing just as well now as when they chased foxes. So although there is no blood at the end of it they still get their day out in the fresh air and countryside, except they must be so upset not to see any blood.

Sarcastic tongue in cheek take my comments as you wish I am surprised you haven't had more comments yet.
