The Bible was authored by God, and His words recorded by humans.
Asking your question is like saying no one can understand what you are asking. The language interprets itself with context.

well I would strongely sugest you learn about the book of mormon. We believe its just as important as the bible. It was only translated one time making it what we believe to be the most correct book on earth. We also believe in living prophets today. Therefore if God spoke with prophets of old he would have to today. Because God is the same yesterday, today and always. See lds.org there is a living prophet today his name is Gordon B Hinckley and the Book of Mormon is another testimant of Jesus Christ just like the bible is also a testiment. I'd challenge you to read and pray about it and find for youself that it is true!

you are on your way to finding the truth baby. dont except what other people tell you that book says. find it for yourself. but dont stop with just the bible as we see it today. you need to check into the gnostic texts, the apochrya, everything you can get your hands on. my husband recently read and loved the book Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why.

The interpretation is wrong.
The Original Kingdom Gospel Jesus preached about "treasure hid in a field" is completely ignored... and Paul's sacrifice for sin gospel has taken its place.
The interpretation is way off... and the evidence is right here.

Yes indeed, humble and sensible human beings will realize their understanding of a book written by human hands called "bible" may in fact be in error, may have been modified by copyists and may have been misinterpreted and misunderstood for centuries.
It is only arrogant belief in infallibility which leads mankind. Each thumbs down to my answer proves my point.

The Holy Spirit inspired all 73 books of the Holy Bible. The Sacred Magesterium of the Catholic Church infallibly interprets it. God bless!

After all the miracles that God brought to pass the children of Israel still drifted into disbelief.
After all the miracles that Jesus brought about they still didn't believe.
The Law is no longer our only hope for salvation.
it is now offered by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
It's time for FAITH, not Hollywood miracles that people wouldn't believe anyway.

""WHAT IF""
Famous words from so many people
But they are always Famous
"" LAST WORDS ""
I would much rather believe in whom i KNOW
Gave me back My life (literally) and READ about HIM
then Set around again assuming ""What if ""
""What if "" ........took me to Hell (literally)
"What If 's "" put me there
""what if's "" took all my hope , Love , Joy , peace ,
and my Very Life !!!
So you stick to your ""what if's "" and i will stick to MY
""KNOWS"...........
and when that day comes as it did for me
Lets see how loud you scream out ""What if "" there to
and i pray as HE did ME...
I hope HE answers.........and allows YOU as HE did ME
to come back and SEE
HIS WORD is exactley as HE said it would BE
the TRUTH !!!!!!!!!
May God have Mercy on Your Soul !!
O and by the way...there are prophets here today
You just refuse to hear them
and there are floods , and famines , and pestilence , and all manner of things happening.........to Wake people up
Yet No one brings it to mind........that GOD is Still GOD
the Same , Yesterday , Today , and Forever
and is no respector of persons
HE Still SAVES.............those who will cry to HIM
He is Calling YOU...and has been.......when Will you HEAR
His prophets who keep telling you about HIM ??
