I read the scriptures everyday. I pray everynight and before my meals. I am greatful for ALL things that he makes come my way, the good and the bad because I know that he has a plan for me. I love God for all he does and blesses me with. I go to church twice or three times a week, to fellowship and am part of the Christian club at school. I have to surround myself with good people, mostly other Christians, so that I can seperate myself from sin and seperate myself unto God. most of all, I try to live my life for God, not myself and do His will instead of mine.

The same way you cultivate love for anyone else.

Get to know them better. Getting to know God better means you have to study the Bible

The Bible reveals Jehovah’s personality to us. It shows that his outstanding qualities are love, justice, wisdom, and power. (Deuteronomy 32:4; Job 12:13; Isaiah 40:26; 1 John 4:8) The Bible tells us that he is also merciful, kind, forgiving, generous, and patient. We, like obedient children, should try to imitate him. (Ephesians 5:1, 2)

It is easy to focus on things that are imperfect in your life, things that you wish you can change but can't seem to.

This is, of course, an unhealthy mindset. To cultivate a love of God, one must learn to be truly grateful for all the good (and even the bad) that God provides for us. Gratitude for all of life's beauty is where my love of God originates from.

Being grateful requires experience and practice. By experience, I mean if one lives long enough, you eventually discover how fragile life is. After my youngest daughter got sick and almost died, I realized how much I should love God for any day of health, any day that is easy and full of beauty and simplicity.

By practice I mean that it has to become part of one's spiritual practice to express gratitude,to express love for God. For me that means ending each day with a prayer of thankfulness for all the wonderful things in my life.

Thank you for asking the question. Peace be with you.

Since one cannot serve two masters, you first have to choose whom you are going to serve:

God or the world. You can't serve both. There are no in-betweens. See Matthew 6:19-34

Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness. It's about ALLEGIANCE. Allegiance is love, loyalty, fidelity, long-suffering, patience, homage. It's about GOVERNMENT: Man's government or God's government.

Spend time with God. Read what He has done for you in the gospels, and keep meditating on His infinite Love for you. That should be an excellent place to begin.

God bless you as you continue to seek the Lord .

Get to know His character. For myself, this came through years of bible study, prayer, and seeing God do incredible things in my life and in the lives of others.

The more you come to know of God, the more joyful, trusting and content a person you will be.
