Think about it--he travels at night; who was the prince of darkness? He wears red;who was known as the Red Dragon?
I found this page that has a lot of reasonable ideas as to why he would be. I mean come on why wouldnt satan want a reason to push you away from the true meaning of 'CHRIST'mas. Ive been thinking this for a while and its kind of bothering me. Im not dyslexic im not on drugs and i know God is not a dog

Yes: agree with you. Santa represents Mammon: materialism, paganism, and the like. Only Almighty God has an omnipresence: not some figure supposedly flying around on a sleigh with 'magickal' reindeers.
Its a myth perpetuated to be taught from a young age so that you grow up buying into a lie or lies and a materialistic way of thinking.
Christmas the way it is celebrated is obscene. Perpetuating a myth about Santa is obscene. Don't believe any who say otherwise.
Am not dissing any 'saint' here. Just dissing the Santa myth that promotes gross materialism.
Santa is an anagram of Satan and that speaks for itself.
Some don't want ot wake up from their stupour!!!

Unequivocally yes. It is fascinating to see people reply with nonsense like "...no couldn't be, satan wouldn't bring presents.."
Duped fools, that is exactly what satan is doing. He is the evil ex who trys to buy the children's love through gifts.
Did Christ give gifts? Only his life itself! Maybe some fish and loaves and some miraculous cures, but wow, how different from the gifts santa/satan gives, eh?
Looked at any new megachurch lately? You'll notice they very much resemble malls, our real place of worship - the worship of consumersim. We build miserable debts seeking fleeting happiness of new things and wonder why our lives are so miserable.
Things own you. Ever own a pool? Funny how a thing YOU own can call you home from work to fix a pump, demand money from you for extra chemicals, you don't own anything but the skin God gave you. Getting things means they are getting you. And in recent times it is a double burden since now these 'things' demanding your time and maintenance are bought on credit and literally own you. You are a debtor, a bond servant to these things.
Wake up, santa is most certainly satan. Oh look how wonderfully joyous everyone is in the visa commercials carrying boxes of goods out of the stores. They fail to show their faces when they open the bill...priceless!
I rant because I am just realizing all this. Don't you see how we are duped fools? Did that new car ever make anyone happy for more than a week? We are seduced into insane things like equity loans. We vote to pay taxes for some billionare sports team owner to have a new stadium to entertain us so we don't ever think about anything of any depth.
I could go on all day, why is no one seeing the obvious lies unfolding infront of us? Are we like the horny men of Sodom who so badly wanted sex with the angels that even when God blinded them they still tore at Lot's door?
I think so.

that is a very interesting theory and I have to believe you and here is why.
In Revelation 2:6 It speaks of Nickolaus. It has been a cult or name used in false worship since the beginning of time.
That was the Ephusus congregation that was warned about him.
In Revelation 2:15 Pergamum were christians and paul was commeding them. However he said he had a few things against them. They were worshipping Nickolaus.
It was interesting to me that Yahoo.com answers used the name St. Nickolaus. In referring to Santa clause.
Some think that the name Lucifer was the name of Satan.
But that was referring to the Babylonion dynasty of Kings.
God went to a lot of trouble so we wouldn't know his name but only as rebel or Satan.
He wanted to be worshipped, to be like God.
ONly God the almighty knows what your thinking if you have been bad or good? That is the one thing that is private, our thoughts. Even the angels do not know what we are thinking.
But here comes a creature, a man who knows?
Magic is condemed in the bible, yet with Santa claus it is all magic? the way he comes down the chinney to his bag of tricks. In one small bag without magic could he carry enough toys for all the boys and girls?

Of course not. Santa Claus is based on story about historic figure, a saint called Nicholas, hence Saint Nicholas. The story says he was giving presents for Christmas to poor children. So, don't worry, he is not Satan in disguise.

No, I don't think so. Santa is our popular version of Saint Nicholas, so you've nothing to fear about that. The Santa story is something we've made up, and I do admit that it *has* taken away from the real meaning of Christmas, but I don't think it's satanic.

The name "Santa" is a corruption of Saint Nicholas, who was an actual person in old Europe who had stories built up around them. You can say 'saint nicholas' fast three times and see very easily where 'santa claus' comes from.
St. Nicholas was made a saint by the Church after his death, he was also known to be a benefactor of sailors as well, you can research him online if you want.

Well considering he has been dead for some 500+ years now and people chose to keep him 'alive' then if he is, it's humanity that is evil. We are the ones who are so wrapped up in consumerism, and invented a modern Santa. He was actually a saint in his day, and gave to the poor. He was not the devil. Consumerism however is just that, pure evil.

Santa could be ANYONE in disguise!!!
Everytime I see a Santa, whether its in a parade, the mall, or standing on the corner ringing a bell, its always someone wearing a "Santa" disguise!!!
Oh, and Sants only wears red in our culture, he dresses differently in different cultures. So I guess that would mean he is Satan just in our culture, but not in, say, Russia???

Actually, I was thinking just the opposite. Satan puts up this huge facade of being a big, bad guy but in actuality, he's just a jolly fat man in a red suit who likes to give toys to little kids all over the world. He just wants to be accepted for who he is... really.
