You said no scriptures, but in revelations, it says that God will wipe away every tear and that means to me that every pain I have every suffered will be as if it never was. He will build a city like he was going to in th e garden of eden before the fruit was eaten and we will live with God and Jesus forever, with no pain and suffering anymore. Oh yea and no marriage, why would we need marriage when we are so blissfully happy anyways. Since God was going to build a city for Adam and Eve, but the fruit was eaten before that could happen, and he took his presence away from Cain (gen. 4:12) after killing Abel, Cain, thought he would show God and build a city without the presence of God being in it.

I heard a story once about a man who died, and apparently, his life had been pretty "gray"... not good enough to guarantee his seat in heaven, but also, not bad enough to send him to hell....
So the Gatekeeper of Heaven takes him into heaven to see what it's like, and then to hell....
In both places, he saw a huge table set for a banquet, everyone seated in both places had a spoon tied to their hand, but the handles were about 4 feet long... which means that nobody in heaven or hell could feed themselves.
The difference was that the people in heaven were feeding each other. The people in hell were only trying to feed themselves.
I don't think God will force us to be somewhere we'll feel uncomfortable. If we're comfortable in His presence, then great. If we feel awkward under His gaze, then He won't force us to be there.
Whatever we'll be doing, whatever He'll be doing, I'm sure we'll be happy, or at least as not un-satisfied as possible.

Heaven for the Christian will be a place of glorious life that will never end. Joy inexpressible, limitless peace, pure love, beauty beyond description—that's what heaven is. Greatest of all will be the presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, with whom we will enjoy fellowship forever. Loved ones who have known and loved the Lord will be there. Revelation 21:2 says, "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."

I also think its funny how christains say marriage is a religious thing, but they also believe they wont have their husband or wife in heaven. Whats the point in being married then? To have a temporary earthly experience? I doubt it.
I am LDS and believe I will be with my family forever.

It's funny how you asked people to not say "we won't be married in heaven", but yet, people have said that. I find it funny that people would think that sitting around on a cloud, playing a harp and singing all the time would be heaven. But, if they think it will be fun, then more power to 'em.
I think heaven wouldn't be heaven without my family, especially my hubby. But hey, I'm LDS, so I guess what I think heaven will be like is slightly different then others. That's fine by me. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens huh? ;)

the bible says we are gods, even though many protestants teach that gods = judges.
to me heaven is where people wont steal or stab you in the back for doing good works.
but even as good as the kingdom of God is, no one can have true heaven unless they build it themself. God will show us how to do it. those that are worthy will become exalted but those that are not repentant but ask for forgiveness will serve as the angels do serve us.
worlds without end

I can only respond with as much as I know from what the bible says. Christians believe the bible and do not add nor subtract from it, when asked questions about God or Jesus, etc.
The bible says in heaven there will be no pain or suffering, that we will be praising God forever. Whatever is in store, eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and the heart cannot conceive of all God has prepared for those who love Him.

revulayshun, Atom74, William: do you know what it looks like to non-Christians when you Christians squabble among yourselves? Mormons believe the Father and the Son are one in purpose, and you believe they are one in fact. To the non-Christian majority of humankind, this difference is so trivial that its meaningless.
Honestly, it's this kind of bickering that keeps Christianity from reaching its potential as a religion. mormon_4_jesus is just trying to understand your point of view. If more Christians were like him, then more people would want to be Christians.

I think heaven will be an eternity with God.
The Bible says we will not be married in heaven but are as the angels in Heaven. (Mark 12:25)
Heaven is beautiful beyond imagination. Gods glory is the sun in Heaven.
We will be a part of something wonderful beyond our comprehension.
No sadness.
