If you love him, and want to experience this with him, his past history shouldn't be an issue. You should definitely be flattered that he wants you to be his first - if you have no emotional connection to make the experience great, and want to rely primarily on the physical (which will come with more experience and communication), you should tell him that you're not ready.

Let him stay a virgin until he's completely ready. What's the rush? have fun making out, and playing around. Don't pressure him, I'm sure he's put enough pressure on himself!
