It says we will know as we are known. On the other hand you might have difficulty recognizing a grandparent, for instance for you only knew then as a very old person. (I have a picture of my grandmother as a young woman, and if I hadn't been told, I wouldn't believe it)

I don't believe there is a heaven (or hell), so no, I don't believe so. I've lost people close to me and it's sad to realise I will never see them again.
