I eat crushed ice quite frequently, and one of my teachers mentioned that people with low amounts of iron in their system eat lots of ice (she has low iron). I was wondering if there is any information that provides this theory to be true.

Yes, it was true for me when I was anemic. Try eating iron & vitamin fortified cereals, Eggo waffles, raisins & grapes.

yes, it's true. my mom is CONSTANTLY eating crushed ice and she has low iron. I also have low iron, but I don't eat ice that often.. I'm way too cold all the time for that. she also sometimes craves things that aren't food, which is another symptom of low iron. sometimes she'll crave paper. of course she never ate it, but when she used to crave stuff like that.. she knew it was time to go to the doctor.

so try eating red meats and things. I'd reccommend total cereal..it's a good source for iron. it's really good for you and the raisin bran one is REALLY good.

yes that is one of the symptoms. I am not sure of the theory though.
