Do you welcome challenges to your beliefs, or are you offended/threatened when people come to you with them?
For those with a bit of extra time:
If you welcome such challenges, what do you think of this video: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=BsKgDNp9IoE

One or two additional things:
1) Please don't assume that I'm an atheist, or an evolutionist, or a Christian, or anything else. It's simply a question I'm interested in.
2) The YouTube video I attach for your consideration I do find interesting and I think it makes some excellent points. If you think it's "pathetic" then state why!

More on that video: most people are saying it's ridiculous and a joke but offering no reasons why. If you read the comments section on the video itself, it appears most of them are favourable ones.

I asked a question yesterday if religious people here on this forum were willing to admit that maybe their religion might not be the right one. Every single christian that answered said they would not admit to christianity possibly being wrong. The honest ones were the pagans and wiccans.

I get challenged all the time. To be honest, even though it tires me sometimes, for the most part it doesn't really bother me. I expect it.
sorry... not gonna take time for the vid.
Repost:
I TRIED to check out the vid (I came back here and couldn't help myself). Are any of these REAL questions? His speach drips of disdain. It wouldn't matter what someone would say to this person, he has definately made up his mind. I guess that's him being so open minded, right? I love the fact that he has put such a low value of the authenticity of the scriptures right from the beginning which have been corroborated by other historical documents around its time, been proven through archeology, and has also been proven unchanged for over 2000 yrs. I believe it to be unchanged for even longer than that (the OT, of coarse). I consider this a pretty weak "challenge", as you may call it. I would challenge this person to take a look at the scriptures themselves (especially the book of John) and read a little about why the Bible is so reliable.

I watched the vast majority of the video a moment ago. I hope presently you do not believe the opinions (very very few facts) voiced in the clip.
Then again, perhaps that is why some in this country presently believe the scriptural old testament is Genesis-Malachi!!! (The assertion that Genesis-Malachi is the 'old testament' does exist; but it is not scripture; past or present)
Another example, sun, moon and stars created day 4, (I agree), yet light occurred on day 1 (I agree); where did light come from? Jesus; light of the world. See the Jews, Christians and Muslims all have the '2 or more witnesses' principle; could 'one witness' be oneself (opinion)?
Do you want me to go on?

That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Please do not think that all atheists are that dumb. That was seriously ridiculous, and if you think he made any valid points, please find someone who knows anything about anything.
Holy crap that guy is dumb. There are valid reasons to be an atheist. This is NOT an example.
I truly believe that this post has hurt the atheist movement. When people see utter crap like that, they start to think all atheists are just ridiculous.
Why not post a video from a professor or other intelligent person? Why post a video of some random dude making stupid assertions and ranting about nothing?

There is no such thing as "testing" my beliefs, and no, I do not feel offended or threatened when other people express their ignorance. It is an opportunity to share the truth with them. As for this rambling video - pitiful.

You could say that any book is just a book. Any book expresses ideas ..even if you don't agree. As for Bod..if he said "ah" "er" on more time ..I would scream. sorry. You are quite free to quote from the wizard of oz..if it is valid for you , then I am happy you found it. To discount all I believe and mock me is not having a challenging debate. It is school yard bullying.

Yes, I welcome challenges to my belief. But as of yet these so called "challenges" are baseless and highly illogical. 2 possibilities: God created the universe or it happened spontaneously--ie the universe made itself. Which sounds more logical to you? There are more holes in your beloved evolution than in a pound of Swiss Cheese. Yet you will go on believing it w/o question. You are a follower. I pity you.

This guy said religion is just an extreme opinion and then proceeded to give his opinions. It is in no way a test of my faith.
