If you believe in God on faith alone, then why try so hard to prove your beliefs with science. I thought it was faith???

Why do people have to go around insulting others religions? Anyway, we know that what we know is the truth, but people like you who challenge are religion make us want to prove to you that it is the truth. You cannot deny science so we prove it with science. God sent us to send his love to all but if you resist all other resons we must be determined to prove it to you somehow.

No, no, no. "Faith", is simply what one believes. It can be true or not true. Science has nothing to do with what most people believe. Sometimes a discovery in science can prove something to be true-other times it may be proved not true. And science can even be inconclusive.
Christians do not believe something in order to "make it true". People, Christians and other wise, believe things and it is either true or not. The fact that one believes something does not make it true or false. Science can not "make" something true- science just reports data. People interpret it based on what they already believe.
For instance-
- An evolutionist can look at the Grand Canyon and see layers the earth layed down over millions of years.
- A Christian can look at the same Grand Canyon and see what the flood did in a few days.

Science has nothing to do with it.

Have you ever knew something to be true but didn't know all the details. You wanted to research more to understand it. Especially those things that interest you the most. Everybody believes that something has always been here. Some believe that something to be material universe. Others believe that something to be GOD. Either belief requires FAITH because neither has been proven.

I don't have to or need to prove my faith with science.

However, since many are trying to disprove my faith with fake science, I believe is appropriate to respond with real science.

Still there is a strong connection between Biblical Christianity and Science, since both are based on objective, verifiable facts and not blind faith.

Remember that Bible believing Christians invented science.

Faith, as is said, is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.

The Bible never says that you shouldn't prove your beliefs. In fact, just the opposite, here are a few scriptures that say just the opposite: "You must love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your MIND, and all your strength" (note that we are to love God with our MIND, or intelligence). "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD." (Note that God says to REASON or use your mind). "STUDY to show yourselves approved unto God." (Note that God says to STUDY, thus use your intelligence and reasoning power). And finally, "Be ready to give a reason for the hope that is within you." (Note that God says that we should be ready to give a reason for our faith.)

Faith and TRUE science NEVER contradict. In fact, in one passage, the Bible states that "By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." This was written at a time when contemporary "scinence" thought that everything consisted of earth (visible), water (visible), fire (visible) and wind (which skeptics keep saying IS visible, when we use wind as an example of something we can not see but is real none-the-less.)

Going on from here, the Bible says that in the last days, the power of heavens shall be shaken. Note that the Greek for "heavens" is "ouranos" (oo-ran-os'), or "uranium" - the powers of uranium shall be shaken?

And finally, the famous last-days prophecy of Joel states that in the last days, there shall be (among other things) "pillars of smoke", but the original Hebrew word for "pillars" is "tee-mar-raw", which literally means a cloud on TOP of a pillar, something that looks strangely enough, like a giant "mushroom"!

So, I repeat, that faith and TRUE science NEVER contradict.

And therefore, faith does NOT preclude science! Therefore, your presumption is simply wrong, period.

Because you can't argue the existence of God to someone who doesn't believe in Him, unless there is at least some proof. I believe in God with all my heart and nothing anyone tells me will ever break my faith, I don't need proof to love Him. But for the sake of people without faith who try to bash Christian beliefs or debate about it, we need proof to be able to defend ourselves.

I believe in God and Christ for many reasons. Faith is the biggest perhaps, however I see miracles every day in the things He has created, I have a swelling of my heart when the Holy Spirit touches me and I can definately feel the victory as I defeat the evil things in this life. But we are so fortunate that yes, faith alone in Christ will gain us a place in His Holy mansion.

Science generally confirms faith.

Those that believe because of faith already believe or know. They are not the ones that need scientific fact. The scientific fact are for those that are closed hearted from the spirit, and want proof. If they don't get the proof then they feel they don't have to be accountable to anyone because of their decisions

I don't know of any true christians that try to "prove" scientifically that God is real. The basis of christian belief is faith. Without faith, you cannot please God.
