What I would like to know if there is a preference, advantage, or any difference whatsoever between these two.

There is no effective difference, as far as much of the civilized world goes. Visa and MasterCard are very widely accepted by businesses, and both brands of cards are usually available from any bank that offers a credit card program, though it may brand its check cards as one or the other.

No I have both and both are accepted in most places that accept debit/credit cards. Even overseas. It's just the brand name. What you should be aware of is the high charges of interest. The lower the APR the better. Hope that helps : )

One starts with V and the other with M. These are brand names. Different banks have many different kinds of Visa or MasterCards -- rewards, fees, rates, etc. Be more concerned with the terms than the brand.
