It depends what European country you are from. Some countries have double citizenship where you can be a citizen of two countries. If your born a Euro citizen and then become a U.S. citizen, if your country allows double citizenship then you can keep both. In the future, your children, if born in the U.S., will be eligible for double citizenship in Europe if your country allows it.

Yes you can... Arnold Schwartzanagger (sp?) has dual citizenship- Austria and the USA and he is the governor of California.

yes u can i came from europe and i can still keep my german citicenship so if i like to visit it easier to go without all the hassle, so i keep both and also i have still familie over there and something may come up in the future where i have to stay for a while, say like someone is very sick in your familie, i hope i could help, Happy New Year.

No! You have to select one country or the other.

I was born in the Dominican Republic but since I became a U.S. citizen in 1995, I gave away all my dominican rights to follow the American way. By law, you cannot have citizenship in two lands.
