I'm totally knew to GIMP 2 and I have the latest version and everything. I've been trying to blend two images together, but I don't even know how and I don't even know if you can. If you can, how can you blend and is the same as blending the image with a background? I'd appreciate all your help!

Gimp supports all the tools necessary to do what you want. You can use layers, layer masks, layer opacity, and layer blending modes.

You probably should go to the gimp website and read some tutorials.

If you are trying to cut and paste one image into another and have them blend together, then you will need to practice how to make good selections with different methods available.

This seems to many newcomers that this should be a simple thing that you want to do, but it is rather complex to do well. Practice and keep reading or watching tutorials.
