At a recent holiday party at a home, I average $150-$200 in tips alone for about 4 hours. You need to courteous, fast, fair on the pour of drinks for your host and guest. Giving the bottles a fling and little flair ups the tips. But make sure you know what you are doing or it could cost you the job, especially when you spill or splatter the contents. Ladies like extra fruit or olives with their drinks, Gents like to flirt, keep it classy and professional. PS I am a lady

I have worked at some of the Airport bars. The tips are $100.00 per shift . Think about it this way. Good guest service gets tips. Serve 50 guest that tip $1 to $2 . It's easy.

I clear almost $500 in the 3 days I work. I only work about 25 hrs a week. You have to work at the right bar and have good personalty. Have to be able to deal with drunks. and be able to put your foot down. Once you start the money is nice. Awesome part time job.

Right now I'm sitting at my desk, on my computer, in my 90 year old cottage on the West Coast of Florida! Right off the Gulf of Mexico!!! Drinking very fine Italian wine. Now, does that sum it up for you, sure does at my end!!!!

If you know what you are doing and are friendly, you can make good money.
There was a girl I used to work with that didn't understand why I made more tips than her. It was obvious to me. People told me that she acted stuck up and was always on her cell phone. People want your attention.
Most bartenders I know really make more money than you would think with their tips included. But, if you're not a people person, forget it.
