OK went out to a holiday party last night had very little to eat, not enough water and a bit too much wine. Now my head is killing me and I feel nauseous. If I don't get some relief I'm going to go crazy with these noisy kids. Any advice will be appreciated. Oh I've been drinking water since I got up to rehydrate and took some homeopathic head ache stuff and ate a potato roll. Now what?

Eat something with cayenne pepper in it, and have a beer and 2 advil; next time, before you go to sleep, take three regular asprin (acetyl salacylic acid) and two 16 oz. glasses of water before you go to bed; water hydrates through the night, and asprin opens up the flow in blood vessels; your head hurts because everything is constricted now. Kids don't help, but remember that it's not their fault.

You need to some Advil they are more better pain relivers than anything else and go sit in the tub with just water make sure your head is in the water because it really cools you down from the pain. Just open the T.v. for the kids and they'll sit quite.

What usually helps me out some is taking a couple pain killers, a normal shower, KFC, and then a nap. Then I stick to water. A little grease of some kind and more water and time should get you past it!

I try to sleep it off. Puking helps, although it isn't the most pleasant thing! A hangover is dehydration so make a fruit smoothie with a bit of alcohol to rehydrate you a bit.

For next time, drink lots of water before bed. That always works for me.

Cannot remember when I last got a hang over. But I remember this.
A strong Bloody Mary, double vodka or gin, extra worstershire and a long celery to go with it as solids.

Finish the darn thing.
If that don't make it better, Call Me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! oh I am sorry didn't mean to shout -- try drinking more water, a shower, washing your hair and getting a little shut eye. And stop yelling at your kids -- they are only kids, and besides yelling makes your headache worse. Just remember this too shall pass.

He he he he he he. But it's not even New Year's yet, why're you hung over?! :)

My husband is Irish-Scottish and he told me once to have Irish soda bread. I couldn't stomach anything else, everything made me feel sick, I was SUPER hung over. And so we went to a bakery nearby and they made me some Irish soda bread - with raisins in it... and it really felt much better. I just drank water and ate Irish soda bread, for some reason it stayed down really well and kind of got nutrients pumping through my system again. Who knows, it might work for you.

Drink lot of water and take rest. Best way to avoid hangover is not to drink alcohol at all.

I always try to do the pre hangover fix. Right before I sleep I drink at least a pint of water and take 2 ibuprofen. However the problem with this is if you're trashed, you might have some diffictuly to remember to do it =P. Works everytime for me (when i remember).

Drink less the next time.

But for the morning after, light on dairy products. Two great headache OTC, large cup of sweet coffee. Dry cereal or saltine crackers.
