It's not your business. Don't be a homophobe. He is what he is. Learn to accept it.

The best way for you to help is to quit being so self-centered. Gay is not a choice and if you try to shame him into to being straight you will only hurt him in order to some how justify your own character flaws. The problem is not with him but with you and your delusion.

Are you equally as fixated about the other OT laws as you are about homosexuality? Or is your preoccupation with homosexuality a harbinger of deeper fears you have about yourself?

If you ever want to have some sort of influence with your nephew, back off now while you still have time. But if I had to guess, I would guess that you will continue to press and your nephew will disown you and shut you out. In your time of loneliness, I'm sure your faith will sustain you.

Yes it is he doesn't have a choice and look at it this way if a a couple he and his partner adopt you will have what you want . Also some children who need a good home will get it . That many less abortions will be necessary because the pope is a homophobe { after all don't they molest little boys so I guess being gay is OK after all } ! Quit being a brainwashed fool the bible contradicts itself so much you can't tell what the rules are .

Besides the reason the ancient Hebrews were such prigs was that the were always into each other and their livestock I figure .

You are a sinner too. So if he asked you to stop being a sinner, what would you do? If anyone was seriously telling you that you were going to Hell because you are a sinner, what would it make you feel like? A little oppressed? If you had an ounce of feelings you would.

But since the consciences of people, especially Christians are subtle, they tend to rely on the Old Testament to tell them about other people, never themselves. And so those particular Christians end up being spiritually infertile, because they really don't love God, and are lovers of themselves. They think themselves as being something, when they are actually nothing.

If Christians would start to preach the Gospel, they might get further. Of course, the only thing those types of Christians listen to is the distorted teachings of demoniac pastors.

Let you nephew be how he is. Don't try to "de-gay" him. It doesn't happen. Accept him for who he is. Even though the bible says not to be gay, people cannot help the way that they are born. It seems people use the bible when it is convenient for them. The bible also says that you should treat thy neighbor as thyself. Just get over it and accept it.

Yes, it is wrong to keep asking him to quit being gay. It can't be done. Just let him be who he is. You are going to do nothing but annoy him.

dueteronomy is suspect. it was given to king josiah from a ywaheh priestess and he went on a pat b8uchanan like rampage to rid the people of free will and free choice. the ancient jews were noted for being homophobic. here's another clue: reading and writing were skills available to the rich, the self taught and the clergy. don't you think its obvious that moses, wit his background in the egyptian court would have learned to write and created the ten commandments himself??? why do you think the bible has so many inconsistancies? and before you geton gay sex what about incest? god doesnt even try to stop lot's daughters from doing their father! as a christian you need to only follow jesus's highest law" love one another as I have loved you" your sexuality isn't a choice. lay off your nephew and be like jesus who broke the law to help the samaratan on the sabbath because it was the right thing to do.

I seriously doubt that asking him to quit being gay would do anything at all. What i would do is try to spend time with him, get to know him, maybe go to the mall with him and ask him what he thinks of a really pretty girl. I'm guessing that maybe it's just his surroundings, maybe his friends. I dont know, but asking him to quit wont help.

I feel very reassured by the fact that you won't be able to indoctrinate your potential grand nephews. The last thing this world needs is more people that think like you.

If he is truly gay, then yes it is wrong. You cant ask someone not to be gay anymore. That is like asking you to stop being a girl. Here is the big debate I guess--did he choose to be gay? By my thoughts- no. So, how do you change something you were born with. The Bible does say it is wrong--but does it say not to love them because of it? Does it say to shun them because you wont get something for yourself out of it? NO, it does not. Jesus said to love each other. Follow his example. Sin is sin, you do it everyday also. Why are you any better?

It's very wrong. Why should he do something just so you can have babies to coo over? And would you ask him to quit being white, or black, or whatever colour he is? Because what you're asking is just as impossible. Let him be a 'sinner' in peace.
