I got stuck in a lift in a hotel in Leeds once. We raised the alarm, waited a while, then we could hear some of the staff at the top of the lift shaft arguing about what to do. This went on for a few minutes before we heard someone shout out, "NO!!! Don't touch that one, that releases the cables!"
How we laughed!

i would get my phone out and play on the games or i would text loads of people to see where they were and what they were doing

It depends on how long would I be stuck in there. if it would be like more than 2 hours then I'll take my shirt off and use it as a fan or to cover the security cam for some mischievous acts (I leave it all to your imaginations). Or if it's just less than an hour I'll wave at the cam and tell them that I would definitely want a copy of this (for alibi purposes).

have done....twice!! Press the giant red button and speak to the person through the speaker who will call the fire brigade or press the alarm and hope that someone hears and calls the fire brigade...blasted phone didn't have reception on either occasion!

Ring the alrm button and try and sit down calmly.
Also if you have a mobile on you then ring someone for help.
