I have one journal where I record what I remember of both of them. It's hard work recording dreams and meditations in detail, but it's worth it to me. It gives me insight... I find useful in my daily life and helpful in my pursuit of long-range goals.

Recording what happens in dreams and meditations can be helpful to see if you are having premonitions. It can also be useful if you meet someone in a dream and they give you a name. If you write it down and you see or hear it again, you'll have documented the name and what they told you. It is all about progressing in your spiritual journey.

The magical journal is one of the most important practices of magick in general. Making sure to include times and performances of ritual etc. I've learned a great deal by going back through my old journals.

I look at the different rituals I've performed and the circumstances in my life at the time, what was important to me at that time etc.

On the other hand, I have not developed the discipline to regularly write in my journal on a daily or weekly basis. This is not good. LOL

I have a dream journal.. When I wake from a dream in the middle of the night I often find it difficult to get back to sleep as my mind dissects the dream.. I have found writing it down in a few minutes allows me to get back to sleep much more quickly as I can look at it later and dissect it at my leisure...

Writing dreams down has helped me get much needed rest rather than staying up with my mind racing...
