And you're not mocking Hinduism, right? What makes your actions are any different or any better?

Having read the article, I can only hope and pray that these poor girls/women will be set free - more importantly will WANT to be set free!

Unfortunately througout history and in many religions, children and women have been on the receiving end of sexual abuse - while those in authority have 'turned a blind eye'!

The many warnings that God gives about people who abuse others in such ways, does not seem to deter some members of society - even religious leaders!

It is down to individuals to make their voices heard - again and again and again, for as long as it takes!

Having been someone who was abused on a regular basis, I know only too well the emotional/phsycological effects that it has, quite apart from the physical!

Thankfully Jesus burst into my life and set me free of it all, giving me the strength to say "N0!" He has enabled me to live with dignity and integrity since that time (over twenty-three years ago now).

No one has the right to use another in such ways, it is an abomination - especially to God! It binds the spirit of the victim more than anything else in this world can! In many cases the victim 'murdered' whilst continuing to live in the physical body! Because the precious part that is 'self' cannot cope with the reality of the hell that the person lives in!

May God set these people free!

Love in Jesus,

Margi

Much has been said of the common ground of religious unity. I am not going just now to venture my own theory. But if any one here hopes that this unity will come by the triumph of any one of the religions and the destruction of the others, to him I say, "Brother, yours is an impossible hope." Do I wish that the Christian would become Hindu? God forbid. Do I wish that the Hindu or Buddhist would become Christian? God forbid.

i'm a Buddhist, and that i talk approximately it plenty with acquaintances, kinfolk, and others. I proportion it because of the fact i discover it valuable, yet i do no longer think of that's necessary to transform people. Many buddhists have faith in rebirth, so this existence isn't your in easy terms probability to understand the liberty of nirvana/enlightenment. If somebody comes to a decision they desire to be unfastened, they are going to paintings at it. otherwise, the suitable we can do is sell peace and have a look into to ease the suffering of others besides as ourselves. additionally, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity have faith that God gave a regulation to be observed with the help of all in an merely approximately political style. those commandments are discovered nowhere in Buddhism. In Buddhism, there are precepts that one undertakes for the sake of ideas-blowing practice, yet no longer out of divine commandment. In different words, we don't experience like there is an all useful tension which will deliver us to hell for no longer doing factor his way. Our destiny relies upon on what we do with our own strikes. subsequently, there is not any reason to objective and convince anybody that our way is the main ideas-blowing way.

You seem very ignorant to me. If you know ANYTHING at all about Hinduism, you should know that this article seems to have outdated information. Here's the REAL story:

The Devadasis were not violently forced to join the group; it was usually their choice. The ancient Indian classical dance was once strictly used to worship, but slowly, it crept its way out of temples and religious places to the public. Soon enough, people were inviting Devadasis into their homes, palaces, and whatnot to dance for them.

It became known as prostitution, but many prominent people began to intervene. Dance is now considered a classic art there, not prostitution.

Next time, get your facts straight.
