Actually , I see things in reverse.
I think religion is for the weak of mind, and weak of spirit.
I feel sorry for them in a way. But in another way, if they're happy, and not hurting anyone, I should leave them be.
The ones I have a problem with are the ones that are so far gone that they feel the need to tell others they are damned to hell, judge their life, or try to take their rights away from them.
Those people are unstable.

Many people don't have a religion. Some only have God, while others don't have any beliefs at all.
There are some people who are under the impression that if you don't believe in anything you are out of your mind.
Don't worry about what others may think about your beliefs. We all enjoy religious freedom, and we can believe in whatever we want, just like we have the right to refuse to believe in all religions.
I am more inclined to consider as "unstable" someone who believes that cars are gods, and that bicycles are angels.

To me religion a more like a foundation to build you life around
Because it comes with solid rules to live by
I was just surprised at how many people need it,
religion is what most people turn to when they're lost or searching for answers
I don't believe in god, simply because I never had any experience related to god

We don't . People who think you are unstable for that reason must be pretty unstable themselves. Stop caring about it, us atheists stopped caring a long time ago and we still go to heaven - oops...

because it is a social norm. religion was invented to explain natural phenomenon. but religion made some pretty ext ream claims and they cant be taken back once the real answers were found. so though religion has outlived its usefulness and it cant just go away in to the background like it should.

People have always been untrustworthy of those they could not understand. We can understand how the fundamentalist sort think - they have no clue of how we do because the circuitry in their mind is not developed enough.
If you never had those that thought outside of the current train of thought (majority), we'd all still be in caves scratching at fleas. ; )

You don't have to have a religion. There are lots of folks who are very stable atheists or agnostics and are perceived as stable by everyone.
