Bipolar Disorder is what was formerly known as manic-depressive disorder. People cycle between highs and lows, or highs and ordinary or lows and ordinary.
I agree with the person who suggested you find a doctor and a therapist, or both in one. Bipolar appears to be associated with a chemical imbalance in the brain and medications have been very effective in managing it, if you find one that you do not have side effects from or that you can tolerate. People who couple medication with therapy may be able to get off the medication eventually. the other reason to couple medication with therapy is that the medication may eventually become ineffective or your tolerance drops. There are many other factors to consider, but go to see someone. Also consider that maybe you don't have bipolar but something else less severe with fewer consequences, such as anxiety disorder, which may be treated with other medication.
Whatever your problem, you will benefit from talking to a caring person. Sometimes you have to look hard, but the search will be worth it. Peace.

Sounds like anorexia athletica with a touch of Bipolar. I'll say you have the beginnings of an eating disorder. Not emo, emo is a fashion statement. Cutting isnt emo, self mutilation has been around for a LOOOOOONG time, much earlier then emo. Have you had traumatic experiences in your life? or any negative experiences that haunt or "follow" you? Im not a psychiatrist, but i have an eating disorder and social anxiety disorder, and my partner is studying to be a psychiatrist, and i feel you should seek medical help. Eating disorders are deemed a depressive disorder, so people with an eating disorder usually have an accompanying disorder such as an anxiety/stress disorder, cumpulsive disorders, bipolar disorder ect. It has to do with brain chemistry. your not producing enough seratonin, hence the depressed feelings. I have EDNOS with anorexic tendancies and social anxiety disorder, with compulsive behaviours. Im well versed in eating disorders, i have one and many friends with them, and i feel you are on the road to becomming a victim of this disease. Eating disorders are not a choice, its a compulsion, a mental affliction. You should speak to a doctor about these feelings, they may reccommend antidepressants, it forces your body to make these chemicals your missing. thay may also prescribe councilling. DO IT! It will feel very awkward and uncomfortable to talk to a stanger about these thoughts, but remember, its their job, and they've heard much more bizzarre and obscene things. they can teach you about whats going on in your head, and reccomend therapy to change your though patterns and maybe give you medication that will make things better. Hope you figure things out!
Google these terms: anorexica athletica, orthorexia, EDNOS, bi polar disorder, depressive disorders
they may describe the symptoms you have. you or I arent doctors, so we cant diagnose you, but it may help you make accurate descriptions of your emotions to your doctor.

I was diagnosed with being bipolar a little over a year ago.
It's where you have sudden and intense mood swings. Not just the teenage average moodswings that everyone gets but they affect your work and your actions towards others.
I don't really know what else to tell you.
I'm not saying you're bipolar. It's not good to diagnose yourself. But you're probably just being the average teenager. If you feel that this is getting in the way of living a healthy life, talk to a guidance counseler, or a therapist or something.
Any other questions... mail me I guess.

I don't know what's wrong with you. You've got a lot of symptoms of mental disorders. I do know that a psychiatrist can make you feel better. www.nami.org can help you find a dr. in your area, and if money is a problem, they can help with that, too.
You need a dr, sweetie. Don't put it off.
