The oppression, abuse, and prostitution of women are common to many religions around the world and in existence today. It is amazing to me, in the day and age, how many countries treat women like cattle.

It is appalling...

There are all sorts of problems with many of the big religions. In Hinduism, a lot of it is cultural, so it really depends on where you live. Small villages are steeped in more barbaric traditions, and it's different everywhere. Many places still practice widow-burning. Also, in Hinduism, different groups of people focus their worship on different Gods or form of Gods. Some of the bigger cities, you won't see barbaric practices.

But I hope this isn't your way of saying Hinduism is an inferior religion.

to blame is very easy, as i'm blaming you of doing this meaningless research and digging matter that could spread hatred against Hindus.

go there and if you are enough educated, then teach the people how to live and what to talk about.

all these things are never ever mentioned in Hinduism, so you can't blame a relegion that you don't understand truly

As an atheist, I can see that all religions have--or have had-- practices that could be viewed as "sick." I find it amusing when all the believers snipe at each other's religions as if their own makes any more sense.

All religions have rare exceptions that make them look bad. This is just one example. It's best to just take the teachings and the good meaning from religion, and not get too extreme. That's when wars start.

Is it not a "sick" practice to raze the places of worship(Temples) in hundreds of thousands,of other religion?-- kill the preists of those temples in thousands, boasting in the collection of tons of "sacred threads" of those slain un-armed temple priests as a souvenir?--Entering into other countries and plundering the Other religious temples and taking away thousands of cart loads of Gold,Silver,Precious Stones , Money from those Temples?--is there NOT a norm who should talk about "sick practices"?
