I am really shy. But me and him like the same things -- music, and we both like skateboarding. I've worn some shirts that represent the band I like, and I know he likes that band too, but I've never really talken to him because I'm shy and I don't really know what to say. I'm sure he knows I like skateboarding too because of my shoes and clothes, but is there anything else I can do?

Congrats.. I like a guy too and I'm really shy as well. We are very different though. But, recently, we have become extremely close, and there are a few reasons to that.
Firstly, be yourself. Do not try to put on a style that does not make you comfy. Wear what ur comfy in and speak like how u alwaz do.
Secondly, I understand you both like the same band and ur trying to tell him tht wth ur dressing.. but.. I'm nt vry sure on tht.. Most guys like girls to be 'like girls'. I mean dressing more like a girl than representing a band or sth.. Can you try to dress more like a girl, without such bands, but in sth ur comfy in again.
Thirdly, guys notice girls when they wear sth 'sexy'. Now, I'd sud\ggest u keep tht to a minimum. Colours like black, white, silver tend to get their attention. But do not overdress please.
In terms of talking, Im nt expecting u to start a full convo wth him instantly. As beginners, share personal info. Wht ull do wht ull like.. wht plans u have for future.. wht ull like and dont like.. wht plans for the weekend.. and as ull get closer, and become friends, ull can go to the cinema or coffee.. and hopefulle if he likes you too, everything ll be perfect!
And just a tip, being shy makes the opp person realise ur not comfortable, wich also make tht person uncomfortable. I'd suggest u try to overcome ur fear and shyness asap.

yes...LEARN TO TALK...it's very important my dear..if you sit somewhere meaninglessly indicates you are bored at the person sitting next to you, even if you aren't...so throw off that shyness...it's not easy alright...hang out with some boys you know, besides girls...bring out new topics...talk about his interests on things...what have you done for last few days...what he had done...and don't talk about relationship too much...that can turn into one boring topic and unnecessary stuffs often come out from that part..so leave it!!..think before you say something! good luck!

I think u should just be yourself, theres a reason why hes talkin to you now. Apparently hes around you for a reason and don't worry about how to impression him because then you'll tryin to be something you not

say hi, get chatting, be yourself. if you've friends who are friendly with him, get them to organise something where you can all meet up together, then you're in a relaxed atmosphere and you can chat without it being awkward. be flirty, if you get over your shyness too, that way he knows what you think of him ;) xox lor
