I have a lot of friends that wear the hijab and some that dont.

having hijab and modesty at the same time is the best !

I am 12 years old and wear the hijab to schoo cuz im really religious like the rest of my family!!! my mom being not as religious as my dad believes that if u r a muslim but that religious then yes u can wear modest- loose clothes that cover all ur body- but then again she covers her face, so ....
Anyway my dad says if ur going to do the Hijab then u should do it all the way and by that he means wearing the burka (a gown that goes over ur clothes) and covering ur face like my mom!! my sis and i r in the middle cuz we wear modest clothes and the hijab but dont cover our face or wear the burka!!! hope that answers ur question!!!!

Do you really think that all the women and girls in the world who do NOT wear a hijab are immodest?
Of course not, so that answers your question.
It's not like the only two choices are wearing a hijab or a thong bikini, right?

What I don't understand is what a hijab is supposed to cover? I've heard that it is to cover a womans beauty. What if a woman has really crappy hair?

And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their zeenah (charms, or beauty and ornaments) except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their khimar (veils) over their bosoms... that does not include heads. or faces,,eh? Includes ONLY chests..though Moses said it includes chests and read ends ... So.. even in Islam.. covering the head is in BUKHARI ... and not in Qur'an.
Whoever you are..if you are female.. do not be in Islam.

Modesty has very little to do with clothes. Any god that is concerned with how people dress is a very petty god, and is not worthy of worship.

no you have to cover your entire body if not then that is a sin tell your friends it's not right and if you won't listen then they will go to hell..

we only prefer wearing it if doing beekeeper duties during Ramadan
