There are several pesons asking if religion is natural or something we learned. As we see many ideas shared by diverce
cultures, can we accept that religion is a natural part of our being?
For example; several species share a natural tendency to be attracted to certain colored materials, elephants bury their dead(and you, if they think you are) and we often see behavior in animals we cannot explain, and ourselves, at times.
Stories that we think are partial to one culture pop up in distant ones and ethical writings almost duplicate each other.
Even where people have been separated for thousands of years, we see statling examples of this similarity, as when the Christians first came to Mexico and saw simbles that they identified with their faith. Something is happening here, something is going on in His world.
Remember the Tower of Bable? Could G-d have also motavated different faiths, to learn more about Him? Any reason why not????

Any reason why not? Just one, but it's a good one: there is no god. Humans seem to have a need to create belief systems, but religious behavior is learned, not genetic.

The drive to see the big picture is natural - a quest for knowledge - but religion is nurtured.
